Hallo meine lieben!

Im sending my first Yak from Switzerland. To be exact from Zurich, my home town. I have been living here all my life and went to school here till two years ago when i decided to finish my high school in America. I attended Northfield Mount Hermon school in Mass and graduated two months ago. I really loved it! And from January on I will be studying at Northeastern University in Boston. My family owns a farm in Vermont where we have been going since i can remember. I love to work there which basically means clean stables, drive the tractor to mow some fields and take care of the sheep. I think I love it so much because it is the exact opposite of my life here in Zurich. That is why I have decided to finish my high school near my most favorite state. I play tennis and also love the outdoors. I don’t embody it that much but I do love being outside. Right now I am working at a Vineyard and it is super much fun. Im out in the vines eleven hours a day and love every part of the hard job. I am the youngest of six children and enjoy every part of my big family.

I have never been to Asia but I am very much interested in it and that is why I really wanted to experience that part of the country. Something very important for me is too, that I experience a culture or a country form the less touristy side and that is why I’m looking forward to this trip so much! Oh and a very close friend of mine did the same trip last year and loved it! So i guess that is another reason. I think that is it for now.

I have already read one of the books that were on the list and I think that “first they killed my father” was very well written and very good/shocking to read. So I cant wait to get to know all of you and wish you an awesome summer!

Tschuess!

ps. the picture is simply zurich. just that you can more or less see where im from.
